*Florida Dream .........
Sold to Marianne Olsen, Rossland . Chestnut filly, f. 29. July 2008. . Sire: Golden Gaits Walking Chaser Dam: *LS Sassey Lady . For pedigree, gå til: Florida's pedigree at allbreedpedigree.com, eller Florida's pedigree at curlyhorses.info . Sassey has done it again! This is the third well built and beautiful filly foal in a row! From earlier Sassey also has two colts which the owners are especially happy with. Ohio Dream is a breeding stallion in Germany with excellent inspection results, fine and promising two first year as a sire, and is training very well in reining and is expected to be a candidate for national championship competitions. Texas Dream is a great jumping talent who is expected to excel in jumping and cross country. Sassey herself has a 2nd Premium as an individual. See Sassey's new own page for the accomplishes of her offspring . Florida has straight legs and is balanced built, very well muscled and with a pretty head. She will ge a long mane and tail. She has the softest coat you can imagine. She is just so incredibly beautiful that we marvel over her every day. Must see! . The pedigree of Florida consists mainly of gaited curlies, with two lines to Walker's Curly T. She does herself an easy trot and my experience says she probably will prefer trot before four beat gaits. Sassey has an incredible smooth and enjoyable jog which one with ease can sit on bareback. . Florida is growing and growing and a measuring suggest she will be between 152 and 156 cm when fully grown. She should be suitable for most disiplines and of course as a brood mare. Florida has started ground work and ground driving. . UPDATE: Florida has been shown at an official inspection for young horses and obtained the degree "Ribbon". Her high score was 9 points(!) at Breed type and presence . |

*Cherokee's Black Hawk .........
Sold to Kristine Helle, Norway . New pictures and video clips! . Black gelding, f. 1999. SE 19-99-0049. ICHO 186-D. ABC 3463. Breeder: Rossbol Curly Horses, Sweden. Imported July 2002 from Gerhardsson's Curly Horses, Sweden. . Sire: *Shenandoah Cherokee Dam: *Apache's Ebony Girl . For pedigree, go to Black Hawk's pedigree at allbreedpedigree.com, or Black Hawks pedigree at curlyhorses.info . Black Hawk has many known Curly Horses in his pedigree and is a blend of four Curly blood lines with one fourth of each; Fredell Curly (Foundation Quarter), BLM Curly (Mustang), Damele Curly (working ranch horse with a little Arab blood) and blood from Curly Jim (gaited Curlies). As a curiosity can be mentioned that his sire line can be traced back to AQHA Hall of Fame stallion Traveler, f. 1885. 2nd dam's sire line (the gaited line) can be traced back to legendary Darley Arabian, f. 1700. . Hawk's winter coat is almost microcurly, see pictures. Even the summer coat is very curly. Short mane and tail. It is obvious for anyone that he is a Curly, no matter of the season, and suits perfectly for breed promotion. He is a proud horse with presence that will make you noticed everywhere. . Short back, compact body, large joints and short strong cannon bones. Massive muscling without being heavy/coarse. Moves with a tremendous hind end power, really steps out in the trot with an elegant front leg stretch. A measuring as 3.5 years old showed 14.2hh (146,5 cm), he feels taller due to his mass, so don't think of him as a pony (even if he might close in under the limit and be eligible for competing in pony classes). Everybody that is here and see him or ride him are impressed. Has developed a lot after these pictures and can measure up to a Quarter any time. . Black Hawk was approved for breeding at the stallion approvals in March 2002 in Sweden. In 2006 he was shown at inspection again with good marks and approved riding test. . He has sired 10 foals with mares from different blood lines and has several good colts in his crop, whereas a couple are intact, among them our junior stallion Wyoming Dream. We didn't need a stallion again before in 2004, so Hawk was gelded in fall 2002. (we were the only Curly breeders in Norway). He is the sire of our young approved stallion *Wyoming Dream. . The last years he has been frequently ridden on the trails and has developed into an awesome trail horse, going whereever he is asked, steep hills, crossing creeks etc. He is steady and sure footed and very calm on the trail. Occasionally he gets some more serious riding training. . From the beginning he showed to be a quick learner and very responsive. When I have his attention, just breathing out while making myself heavy in the saddle, is sufficient signal for a halt. He is dominant though and requires an experienced rider over time for him not to take over, and just stop to eat grass... Although more and more often quite inexperienced people have trail ridden him after other horses with no problem. He is super steady! He has never bolted or been hard to stop. He has even been to the race track and training together with some other horses that were going to race in a gallop race for riding horses! . Although being the boss in the herd, he loves the foals and doesn't even flinch when they almost run over him. Actually he is soo fascinated over "his" babies that he stood a full day by the fence watching new born Hawaii across the field, and didn't have time to go to eat nor drink! Additionally he is a good and strict father for the young stallions, they never try any foolish things when Hawk is there, they are totally respectful of him! . Do you want to excel in western and are thinking of a Quarter or similar breed? But could use a hypo allergenic horse, or would like a special rare breed? Consider Black Hawk. He would be a great polocrosse prospect! He is ready for serious training, and at the perfect age to start it. This is a horse that in no means are "used up", he has long useful life in front of him. This is a barefoot horse. Never had shoes and the last years trimmed according to barefooot principles. Current on vaccines and worming. . |

For pedigree, go to: California's pedigree at allbreedpedigree.com, eller California's pedigree at curlyhorses.info . Beautiful filly, palomino with sabino markings (large uneven blaze, white lower lip, tall hind sock that ends in a peak). California is the spitting image of her mother. She is very trusting and human oriented. She comes right up to you and loves to be petted and scratched. . California has got a pretty head, nice neck and shoulder, straight legs. She is tall and will probably finish growing taller than her parents. Both parents are anticipated homozygous for the curly gene and then California should be it also. Measurement suggests full grown height to be approx. 157 cm. . California looks like she is of the refined pleasure type with the gaits walk, trot and canter. A versatile allround horse suitable for a variation of diciplines. . 7/8 of her pedigree consists of gaited horses. California will most likely produce gaited foals when bred to a gaited stallion and non gaited foals when bred to a non gaited stallion. A multi purpose brood mare so to speak. . Video clips showing California very happy to get out after staying inside due to heavy rain weather. She is running between her mother Sonata (the palomino mare being led) and her best friend Arizona who is with her mother and the rest of the herd in a distant field. New video, closeups . Nevada Dream .........
Sold to Riverside Curly Horses,
now owned byNeele Ambs, Germany . Sorrel sabino filly, foaled 4. June 2005. ICHO 704-S, ABC S-668 . Sire: *Texas Dream Dam: *Walker's Queen B . For pedigree, go to Nevada's pedigree at allbreedpedigree.com, or Nevada's pedigree at curlyhorses.info . What did we get by breeding our most gentle mare to our most gentle stallion? Right, a foal that is born tame, exceptionally gentle dispostion, sweet and human oriented. Nevada was foaled in the evening and when we took mother and baby outside the next morning, Nevada walked from person to person and gave them wet kisses instead of paying attention to where mama was going. That is Nevada in a nut shell! . Nevada is very well and solid built with straight legs and smooth top line. Absolutely a good halter candidate. She trots elegantly with high knee action, and we think she will become a super baroque (classical dressage) horse. . Nevada's color is a chapter on it's own. She is pinto (spotted) from the sabino gene, with sorrel base color, white spots and roaning on the sorrel parts. Eyes are blue and she has black "eyeliner" around one eye. Mane and tail will be mixed white and red hairs, blended to a golden color, the kids has nick named her dam to Princess Gold Hair :-) . Nevada is a rare smooth haired Curly Horse. Which would say she has full Curly pedigree and is registered as Curly (in division Smooth coated), she has right to show on inspections and be graded and her curly foals by curly stallions has same full registration status as other curly foals. She is not curlycoated herself, her coat is tight, smooth and silky. Yet she is hypoallergenic. Bred to a homozygous stallion, for instance Kansas Dream, she will guaranteed get curly foals. This is a chance for somebody that is allergic but who prefer the looks of smooth coated horses before the curls. Nevada will additionally get a very long mane and tail, which is quite flashy on a baroque horse! . *Hawaii Dream .........
Sold to Riverside Curly Horses - family Riemann, Germany . Bay filly, foaled 9 May 2005. ICHO 705-D, ABC 3455 . Sire: *Texas Dream Dam: *Moonlight Sonata . For pedigree, go to Hawaii's pedigree at allbreedpedigree.com, or Hawaii's pedigree at curlyhorses.info . This filly is like a bambi, very pretty and well conformed. Her head is just so beautiful and refined, she's a doll. I believe she is homozygous for curls, like Sonata's all other foals. She is very athletic and boy, can she accelerate, run, roll back, slide stop, buck and jump in the air! And of course she is as sweet and friendly as they can be! I think she will become the lead mare of her future herd, just as her dam Sonata is our lead mare, very smart and always thinking of her herd, communicating to us if they need anything. |

*Ohio Dream .........
Sold to Riverside Curly Horses - family Riemann, Germany . Buckskin dun colt, foaled 11th of August 2004. ICHO 620-D, ABC 3409 . Sire: *Sunny Boy read more about Sunny Boy! Dam: *LS Sassey Lady . For pedigree, go to Ohio's pedigree at allbreedpedigree.com, or Ohio's pedigree at curlyhorses.info . Well, well, well, aren't we pleased! And Sassey is very proud too. And what a present, this big beautiful curly colt with four white socks! He will get black mane and tail, and black legs down to the white socks start, wow what a flashy riding horse. Just look at his sire! And Ohio is the only son of Sunny Boy! Both have the unusual color combination buckskin dun, called dunskin.* . Ohio have lots of presence. He has good straight legs and is well put together. He has exeptionally great dispostion, more sweet and gentle stud colt you should be hard pressed to find. His half brother, Texas, is the most gentle horse we had, and also Ohio's sire Sunny Boy is very gentle. . His pedigree is Damele breeding, Curly Jim line and a dash of Morgan through Ruby Red King. Ohio has been shown at young stock inspection and did very well, he got the scores of 8 for type, 8 for body, 7 7 for legs and 8 for movements. He got a Ribbon, Quality award and participated in the Best-In-Show competition. . With Ohio being a dunskin, he should have equal chances of passing - both the dun and creme gene (dunskin, dunalino, smoky grullo) - only the dun gene (bay dun, red dun, grullo) - only the creme gene (buckskin, palomino, smoky black) - neither dilute gene (bay, sorrel, black) |

*Texas Dream
.........
Sold to Kristine Mikaelsen, Kristiansand . Bay colt, foaled 7th of June 2002. ICHO 190-D, ABC 3411 . Sire: *Stormy's Northern Light Dam: *LS Sassey Lady . See pedigree, or For pedigree, go to Texas' pedigree at allbreedpedigree.com, or Texas' pedigree at curlyhorses.info . In our opinion Texas the most gentle 3 year old colt in the world :-) He is such a total love and follows us around whenever he gets the chance. Loves petting and scratching and kisses. When I go into the paddock with a halter, he is always first, begging me to put the halter on so we can do something fun! . Texas is bay with a small star and a white hind coronet. He is well muscled, with a nice body. Quite curly, is getting a big, double split mane and long big tail. He is a blend of Curly Jim (foxtrotting curly), Damele and Kuglar bloodlines. Will probably stay right under the pony mark (14.2hh/148cm). . We envision him as the perfect family horse, in the future he may take the whole family on a buggy ride, trail rides for not to big adults, pony rides for the smallest children, and being an exellent showing candidate for the older children, he loves to jump and we think he can become quite a show jumping pony. He also has a fast trot and will suit well for mom or dad to do three event driving with. Texas is smart, a quick learner and will do everything you ask of him in exchange for a banana :-) He is currently training to drive. He can be delivered trained to drive. . Texas has high social intelligence and herd skills, he gets along with all horses. No trouble keeping him as a stallion with other colts and geldings and bred mares. He is a gentle breeder and doesn't bother the mares when they are not in heat. Texas has been inspected at an official horse show in the class for 2 year old stud colts. He scored a total of 35 points (average 7 points), and was awarded a "Ribbon". The judges are very strict on colts, so very many do not get a "Ribbon". The Ribbon is a quality sign and tells you that the colt is good enough to be kept intact for another year, and then shown again. |

*Missouri Dream.........
Sold to Gerhardsson's Curly Horses, Sweden . Sorrel sabino stallion, f. 9th of June 2001. ABC 2938, MFTHBA 01-71026, ICHO 187-D . Sire: *Sir Patrick MJT Dam: *Walker's Queen B . We got all our wishes fulfilled with this foal. He is very curly, can become future breeding stallion in Europe, very gaited (he was up and gaiting just a few hours old), and as icing on the cake, he has a flashy sabino pinto color. . This colt has blood lines (see pedigree) that makes him suitable to breed to every Curly mare in Europe (exept for his dam and his half sister that we also own). His Curly Jim genes will probably greatly reduce your risk of producing Curlies with no mane and tail. He will get a long thick mane and tail himself too. He is free of Damele and Native American Curly blood lines, making him an excellent outcross for such mares. This is one of a handful stud colts in the world that are double registered Curly and Missouri Fox Trotter and from dominant Curly to Curly breeding. And the other ones are in USA. . Missouri has correct legs with large bone, well proportioned body with impressive neck, sloping shoulders, good top line and a powerful hind end. He will be big, we expect him to mature to about 15.2H (157 cm). He is extremely gaited. All though he sometimes display a wonderful trot with the tail up, he seems to prefer to move around in four beat gaits, or canter. . Missouri was imprint trained at birth, is current on shots, worming and trimming (we do the Strasser Natural Trim). He is taught to lead. tie, bathe, load and being ponied. His nature is very gentle, although he is alert and will make a good herd stallion. MISSOURI IS A SUCCESSFUL BREEDING STALLION IN SWEDEN! |

*Kansas Dream.........
Sold to Golden Gaits Curly Horses, Sweden . Sooty chestnut stallion, f. 27th of June 2001. ICHO 370-D, ABC 2939, AFTHBA 01-8071, SE 19-01-0110 . Sire: *Kreskin Dam: *Moonlight Sonata . This colt is dark chestnut with a blaze and two socks (one hind and one front), and with sooty marks on his points. Gaited from his first step! This winter he had a wooly foal coat, which has shed out to a summer coat that is short, curly and somewhat wiry, but still soft to touch. Our best guess is that he will become microcurly as his sire. His mane and tail are kinky curly and of medium length. . We believe Sonata is homozygous for curls and since the colt's sire has proved to be most likely homozygous, there are VERY good chances this colt is homozygous too. If so, he will never sire a straight foal. Breeders with mares that has produced a straight foal will prefer to use a homozygous stallion. Many of the believed homozygous horses in some of the Curly blood lines have no mane and tail, or very sparsely haired mane and tail. Not so with the Curly Jim blood line. They might have somewhat shorter and more kinky curly mane and tail, but there are no recordings of a bald one, even among the proven homozygous stallions. . He is, like our other stud colt, free of Damele and Native American Curly bloodlines, making him an excellent outcross for such mares. He has blood lines (see pedigree) that makes him suitable to breed to every Curly mare in Europe (exept for his dam and a sisterdaughter in Sweden). . Kansas is a pretty and refined colt that is the favourite of about all visitors we have. We expect him to mature at about 14.3H (150 cm). He has a pretty head and a well proportioned body. He runs like the wind, follows his dam or us in all terrain and jumps creeks with no hesitation. He also has the guts and energy to go all day. We think he must be the perfect endurance horse. He fox trots beautifully and has an impressive trot. . Kansas was imprint trained at birth, is current on shots, worming and trimming (we do the Strasser Natural Trim). He is taught to lead, tie, bathe, load and being ponied. He is very gentle. SEE KANSAS' OWN PAGE AT: www.curly.no/kansasdream.html |
