SUPER SWEET AND BEAUTIFUL GAITED CURLY HORSE FOR SALE
.
Fully registered in Norway, with Norwegian Curly passport. Can be seen in southern Sweden. Reasonable shipping possible to arrange to other countries in Europe.
.
Pure Curly Jim-line from both parents, which means that he is not carrying the gene for string tail that emerges in homozygous Curly Horses from other bloodlines.
.
We sell all our Curly Horses except a pony, so here is the chance of reaping the fruits of our 15 years long involvement in breeding Curlies. Last chance to get a gaited offspring from us.
.
Arkansas is both gentle and pretty, trusting, calm and unafraid. He is homozygous for gait gene DMRT3 but also has a great trot. So he is a horse that can be used for both gaited riding and classes where a trot is required.
.
He has a very good conformation. He is of the refined gaited pleasure type but still has great muscling!
.
Arkansas is of the Prince Charming line and should suit well as stallion for most mares in Europe. He will suit perfectly to extreme mares to get more mane and tail in offspring, and to heavy built mares to refine offspring, and to sire gaited offspring where he is the perfect outcross for mares of Sir Patrick line (he has Sir Patrick one time as great grandfather) or DCC Vegas line which he has none.
.
If you are interested in Arkansas as a future stallion or gelding, or other arrangement, please contact me.
.
VAT in your own country comes in addition.
.

Fire
*RCR Backfire (Fire) ......... SOLD TO GERMANY .........

Sorrel sabino mare, foaled 2005. ICHO 984-D, ABC 646-3/4
.
Sire: *Kreskin
Dam: *Miss Firecracker WP
.
For pedigree, go to: Fire's pedigree at allbreedpedigree.com, eller Fire's pedigree at curlyhorses.info
.
Fire is multi-gaited and does in addition to walk, trot and canter, also flat walk, fox trot, running walk, rack and flying pace! All at liberty in the field.
.
Fire is half sister (same sire) to *Kansas Dream. Fire's mother Miss Firecracker (which is a very good looking mare), is half sister (same sire) to our best broodmare Queen. Thus we are quite certain Fire will be a nice broodmare. She has so far produced two good looking tall gaited colts, Tennessee and Red Cloud.
.
Fire is very human oriented. She comes right up to you and loves to be petted and scratched. She has in periods since she arrived from USA, just roamed free on our farm and she is not afraid of cars or construction machines and wants to be in the middle of what's happening. Fire is a quick learner and eager to please. Fire is a VERY calm mare, and unfaced by everything she is asked to do.
.
Look at Fire's gaits! Not many horses will show such an abundance of natural gaits, running free in the pasture. Pictures are from when she was 2 years old. She is testet AA (homozygous) for the DMRT3 gait gene.

She is also VERY smooth and a thrill to ride! Fire is a steady trail horse, currently in training for endurance riding.

Queen is a medium sized mare (14.3 hh), and very well put together. She is trained to ride and drive, and is very sweet and calm horse. I can put kids and beginners on her back with no worries. She has displayed the following gaits in addition to walk, trot and gallop; flat walk, foxtrot, running walk, stepping pace, rocking chair canter, speed rack and flying pace. Queen is one of the few dominant Curly Horses also registered in the Missouri Fox Trotter Horse Breeders Association, and one of only two such mares in Europe. More about the versatile Missouri Fox Trotting Horse.
.
Queen is of pure Curly Jim bloodline, top and bottom, she is linebred on Walker's Prince T, the most important foundation stallion of the fox trotting Curly Horses. Her sabino pinto pattern and roaning is very rare in Norway, she is almost pink with white legs and face. She has big curls in the winter and a smooth summer coat. Her long thick mane and tail are mostly straight and does not shed at all, it's getting longer for every year. But even in the summer it is easy to see she is a Curly from the curls inside her ears, her curly forelock and very curly fetlocks.
.
Queen is our best brood mare conformationally. She always produces foals that are very correct and well built, AND with excellent temperaments. Her two oldest sons has been inspected and approved at stallion inspections, and both her daughters have been exported, finally her 2009 and 2010 sons have been inspected and approved at young stock inspection.
.
Finally, at 17 years of age, in 2012, we showed Queen at an official mare inspection. She was awarded a 1st Premium grade and the grade A for offspring. First Curly ever to get the top grade I believe!

Sonata is also of medium size and has a beautiful front end and neck. She has become my favourite riding horse. She has an energetic forward walk, a good flat walk and a smooth, rhythmic foxtrot with a distinct hock action and head nod. She can also rack, but prefers a rocking chair canter. She is of pure Curly Jim bloodline too, her sire is a direct grandson of Curly Jim, and on her dam's side she goes to Curly Jim through Walker's Prince T.
.
Sonata looks cream colored, almost white in the winter, but in the summer she is a golden palomino with sabino ticking in her coat. She is dappled, has a wide blaze, and one hind sock. Her left eye is part blue and part brown. Her winter coat is tight curly, and she sports a "carpet" type summer coat. She has a curly long split mane that is thinning and shedding a little in the summer, but grows back very quickly, so it is 10" long at the end of the winter. Her tail is 3/4 long and seem to grow longer and longer.
.
Sonata herself has been shown and approved with a 2nd Premium grade at official mare inspection. We are also proud of Sonata's production. Almost all her foals we believe are homozygous for curls but still with a decent mane and tail. Her first son is inspected and approved as a breeding stallion. Her three daughters are all exported. Her 2009 and 2010 sons have been inspected and approved at official young stock inspection.

Utah

*Utah Dream......... SOLD IN NORWAY .........
.
Black sabino filly, f. 2012. TALL, REG. MFTHBA
.
Sire:* ZGC Durango
Dam:*Walker's Queen B
.
For pedigree, go to: Utah's pedigree at allbreedpedigree.com, or Utah's pedigree at curlyhorses.info
.
This is *Utah Dream, the last legacy of our mare *Walker's Queen B which last year earned a 1st Premium grade and grade A for offspring. I think Queen is the highest graded Curly mare in Europe. Queen was the first Curly Missouri Fox Trotter mare in Europe, imported from Missouri in 2000. Queen is the dam of *Missouri Dream who I believe is stallion which has sired the most foals in Europe. Queen has numerous good foals but after *Missouri Dream who was an in-utero import, it was not before 2011 it was possible to breed her to a double registered Curly Missouri Fox Trotter stallion. Queen travelled all the way from Norway to southern Germany, to be bred to *ZGC Durango (click at the sire's name to read about him) to get new bloodlines within the curly foxtrotter line. The result is *Utah Dream, a curly black sabino filly which is a grand finale because Queen now is retired from breeding.
.
*Utah Dream is unique in several ways. She is double registered Curly and Missouri Fox Trotter, of which there are several of in Europe, but she has only 1,9 percent in inbreeding coefficient which is the lowest of all curly to curly bred MFT horses in Europe, perhaps in the world?
.
Utah is about as tall as her dam now as only 1 year old and we expect her to become tall, projected expected height from measuring her legs comes to 164 cm tall, a height which is also unique in Europe among MFT Curlies.
.
Utah is tested homozygous AA for the DMRT3 gait gene. She foxtrots and trots, not pacy at all. She will be a blast to ride and you can expect her to do well in MFTHBA competitions.
.
Utah has an extremely people loving disposition, and is craving for attention. She is not afraid of anything.
.
Utah has a very good conformation and will for certain earn high scores at inspection. She will be a fantastic brood mare, an asset for any Curly or Fox Trotter breeder.
.
We planned to keep Utah as a replacement mare for Queen, but as we are dispersing our herd she is for sale to the right home.

He is testet AA (homozygous) for the DMRT3 gait gene.

Are you dreaming of a matched pair for harness driving? Well, here you got the perfect pair! Pony sized, currently kat. III ponies (max 130 cm). Both have correct conformation, a gorgeous trot, must see! Both are sorrel sabino with blaze and socks, they will exhibit the typical "pink" sabino coat with blond mane and tail.
.
We will absolutely prefer that Wisconsin and Washington come to the same home, especially a driving interested home, namely because they are such a rare pair with the same gender, age, size and color, that it would be such a shame to separate them. And, since they are boys that like to play together, it would be wonderful if they still could stay together as they are perfect company for each other. That is why we are offering them together for NOK 70000, that is a huge NOK 30000 discount!
.
Wisconsin and Washington will suit perfectly to a family that is interested in driving and that also have children that wants sport ponies.
.
Both have been inspected and approved at official young stock inspection, Washington even got the highest score on any young horse that we've had and a Quality Award. Both have also been to new inspection as three year old geldings, called "3-year old Test". See pictures and scores here: *Washington Dream and *Wisconsin Dream at inspection for 3 year olds
.
Both boys are social and human oriented. They are ready to go to a new owner. They have been trained to drive and started riding. Their size is perfect for children and easyweight teenagers and may cater for small adults up to 50 kgs as well.

Kentucky is Curly and GAITED, he's sorrel with a blaze, hind socks and BLUE eyes (one is all blue and the other partial blue). Both parents are beautiful, noble horses with presence and a little hint of arab look, and Kentucky is the same. He truly is a gaiting machine. He is testet AA (homozygous) for the DMRT3 gait gene. I almost never see him trot.
.
Kentucky is very sweet and easy to handle, loves to cuddle and be kissed. He is just below the pony height limit of 148 cm. He is of the refined built gaited pleasure type.
.
Kentucky's pedigree is like a list of famous horses in the gaited curly world. In Europe there are not many gaited horses, beside Icelandic horses, that are for sale.
.
Kentucky was used for breeding two mares in 2011, and got two beautiful foals. He has since become gelded because we had six young stallions and had to geld some...
.
Kentucky has been ground driven and trail ridden some.
.
He was originally sold to a local family but due to family reasons he is for sale again and we have him back at our place. Kentucky is easy to keep with mares, geldings, colts or as now, he is pastured with an older breeding stallion.

Sweet Pea was imported in the fall of 2003 from USA. She is the smallest curly horse in Europe, only 106 cm (10.2 hh) tall. Sweet Pea has a solid Curly horse pedigree from the McKay breeding program. It is hard to express how happy we are with Pivi, as we call her (Pea-wee). The first winter and spring she was roaming free on the farm to everybody's joy. She is very gentle and sweet, yet she lacks nothing in toughness and speed. She is also an excellent mother.
.
Sweet Pea has been trained to drive. She is also being trained to ride. She is very gentle with the kids. Sweet Pea has been shown at mare inspection and got good scores on conformation and movements. She was shown in hand by an 11 year old girl. She has performed an approved driving test, and has obtained a Premium grade (3rd Premium). She has gotten three fine curly fillies for us.
.
Sweet Pea is homozygous for silver, so all her foals are silver. If bred to a homozygous black stallion the foals will for sure be silver black, the most spectacular and popular of the silver colors.

Sassey has done it again! This is the third well built and beautiful filly foal in a row! From earlier Sassey also has two colts which the owners are especially happy with. Ohio Dream is a breeding stallion in Germany with excellent inspection results, fine and promising two first year as a sire, and is training very well in reining and is expected to be a candidate for national championship competitions. Texas Dream is a great jumping talent who is expected to excel in jumping and cross country. Sassey herself has a 2nd Premium as an individual. See Sassey's new own page for the accomplishes of her offspring
.
Florida has straight legs and is balanced built, very well muscled and with a pretty head. She will ge a long mane and tail. She has the softest coat you can imagine. She is just so incredibly beautiful that we marvel over her every day. Must see!
.
The pedigree of Florida consists mainly of gaited curlies, with two lines to Walker's Curly T. She does herself an easy trot and my experience says she probably will prefer trot before four beat gaits. Sassey has an incredible smooth and enjoyable jog which one with ease can sit on bareback.
.
Florida is growing and growing and a measuring suggest she will be between 152 and 156 cm when fully grown. She should be suitable for most disiplines and of course as a brood mare. Florida has started ground work and ground driving.
.
UPDATE: Florida has been shown at an official inspection for young horses and obtained the degree "Ribbon". Her high score was 9 points(!) at Breed type and presence

Dakota is the first Curly pony foal in Europa (talking about ponies smaller than 13.3 hh/140 cm). Dakota will probably become around 125 cm tall. Already six months old she had outgrown her dam in wither heigh. Dakota is a black silver dapple, in this case she is steel grey in the summer with silvery white mane and tail. She is very curly year round.
.
Dakota is behaving more like a dog than a horse. She would love to be with us all the time. She has been to young stock inspection twice, and both times earned a Ribbon. We have started ground driving with her and will train her to pull a cart.

Black gelding, f. 1999.
SE 19-99-0049. ICHO 186-D. ABC 3463.
Breeder: Rossbol Curly Horses, Sweden.
Imported July 2002 from Gerhardsson's Curly Horses, Sweden.
.
Sire: *Shenandoah Cherokee
Dam: *Apache's Ebony Girl

.
For pedigree, go to Black Hawk's pedigree at allbreedpedigree.com, or Black Hawks pedigree at curlyhorses.info
.
Black Hawk has many known Curly Horses in his pedigree and is a blend of four Curly blood lines with one fourth of each; Fredell Curly (Foundation Quarter), BLM Curly (Mustang), Damele Curly (working ranch horse with a little Arab blood) and blood from Curly Jim (gaited Curlies). As a curiosity can be mentioned that his sire line can be traced back to AQHA Hall of Fame stallion Traveler, f. 1885. 2nd dam's sire line (the gaited line) can be traced back to legendary Darley Arabian, f. 1700.
.
Hawk's winter coat is almost microcurly, see pictures. Even the summer coat is very curly. Short mane and tail. It is obvious for anyone that he is a Curly, no matter of the season, and suits perfectly for breed promotion. He is a proud horse with presence that will make you noticed everywhere.
.
Short back, compact body, large joints and short strong cannon bones. Massive muscling without being heavy/coarse. Moves with a tremendous hind end power, really steps out in the trot with an elegant front leg stretch. A measuring as 3.5 years old showed 14.2hh (146,5 cm), he feels taller due to his mass, so don't think of him as a pony (even if he might close in under the limit and be eligible for competing in pony classes). Everybody that is here and see him or ride him are impressed. Has developed a lot after these pictures and can measure up to a Quarter any time.
.
Black Hawk was approved for breeding at the stallion approvals in March 2002 in Sweden. In 2006 he was shown at inspection again with good marks and approved riding test.
.
He has sired 10 foals with mares from different blood lines and has several good colts in his crop, whereas a couple are intact, among them our junior stallion Wyoming Dream. We didn't need a stallion again before in 2004, so Hawk was gelded in fall 2002. (we were the only Curly breeders in Norway). He is the sire of our young approved stallion *Wyoming Dream.
.
The last years he has been frequently ridden on the trails and has developed into an awesome trail horse, going whereever he is asked, steep hills, crossing creeks etc. He is steady and sure footed and very calm on the trail. Occasionally he gets some more serious riding training.
.
From the beginning he showed to be a quick learner and very responsive. When I have his attention, just breathing out while making myself heavy in the saddle, is sufficient signal for a halt. He is dominant though and requires an experienced rider over time for him not to take over, and just stop to eat grass... Although more and more often quite inexperienced people have trail ridden him after other horses with no problem. He is super steady! He has never bolted or been hard to stop. He has even been to the race track and training together with some other horses that were going to race in a gallop race for riding horses!
.
Although being the boss in the herd, he loves the foals and doesn't even flinch when they almost run over him. Actually he is soo fascinated over "his" babies that he stood a full day by the fence watching new born Hawaii across the field, and didn't have time to go to eat nor drink! Additionally he is a good and strict father for the young stallions, they never try any foolish things when Hawk is there, they are totally respectful of him!
.
Do you want to excel in western and are thinking of a Quarter or similar breed? But could use a hypo allergenic horse, or would like a special rare breed? Consider Black Hawk. He would be a great polocrosse prospect! He is ready for serious training, and at the perfect age to start it. This is a horse that in no means are "used up", he has long useful life in front of him. This is a barefoot horse. Never had shoes and the last years trimmed according to barefooot principles. Current on vaccines and worming.

Palomino sabino filly, foaled 17. July 2006. ICHO/ECHR-NO 069028-D, ABC 3643
.
Sire: *Wyoming Dream
Dam: *Moonlight Sonata
.
For pedigree, go to: California's pedigree at allbreedpedigree.com, eller California's pedigree at curlyhorses.info

Beautiful filly, palomino with sabino markings (large uneven blaze, white lower lip, tall hind sock that ends in a peak). California is the spitting image of her mother. She is very trusting and human oriented. She comes right up to you and loves to be petted and scratched.
.
California has got a pretty head, nice neck and shoulder, straight legs. She is tall and will probably finish growing taller than her parents. Both parents are anticipated homozygous for the curly gene and then California should be it also. Measurement suggests full grown height to be approx. 157 cm.
.
California looks like she is of the refined pleasure type with the gaits walk, trot and canter. A versatile allround horse suitable for a variation of diciplines.
.
7/8 of her pedigree consists of gaited horses. California will most likely produce gaited foals when bred to a gaited stallion and non gaited foals when bred to a non gaited stallion. A multi purpose brood mare so to speak.
.
Video clips showing California very happy to get out after staying inside due to heavy rain weather. She is running between her mother Sonata (the palomino mare being led) and her best friend Arizona who is with her mother and the rest of the herd in a distant field. New video, closeups
.
California is wishing for a permanent home with natural horse keeping, barefoot, company with other young horses.
.
California can be viewed at Riverside Curly Horses in Wesel, Germany.

What did we get by breeding our most gentle mare to our most gentle stallion? Right, a foal that is born tame, exceptionally gentle dispostion, sweet and human oriented. Nevada was foaled in the evening and when we took mother and baby outside the next morning, Nevada walked from person to person and gave them wet kisses instead of paying attention to where mama was going. That is Nevada in a nut shell!
.
Nevada is very well and solid built with straight legs and smooth top line. Absolutely a good halter candidate. She trots elegantly with high knee action, and we think she will become a super baroque (classical dressage) horse.
.
Nevada's color is a chapter on it's own. She is pinto (spotted) from the sabino gene, with sorrel base color, white spots and roaning on the sorrel parts. Eyes are blue and she has black "eyeliner" around one eye. Mane and tail will be mixed white and red hairs, blended to a golden color, the kids has nick named her dam to Princess Gold Hair :-)
.
Nevada is a rare smooth haired Curly Horse. Which would say she has full Curly pedigree and is registered as Curly (in division Smooth coated), she has right to show on inspections and be graded and her curly foals by curly stallions has same full registration status as other curly foals. She is not curlycoated herself, her coat is tight, smooth and silky. Yet she is hypoallergenic. Bred to a homozygous stallion, for instance Kansas Dream, she will guaranteed get curly foals. This is a chance for somebody that is allergic but who prefer the looks of smooth coated horses before the curls. Nevada will additionally get a very long mane and tail, which is quite flashy on a baroque horse!

This filly is like a bambi, very pretty and well conformed. Her head is just so beautiful and refined, she's a doll. I believe she is homozygous for curls, like Sonata's all other foals. She is very athletic and boy, can she accelerate, run, roll back, slide stop, buck and jump in the air! And of course she is as sweet and friendly as they can be! I think she will become the lead mare of her future herd, just as her dam Sonata is our lead mare, very smart and always thinking of her herd, communicating to us if they need anything.

Well, well, well, aren't we pleased! And Sassey is very proud too. And what a present, this big beautiful curly colt with four white socks! He will get black mane and tail, and black legs down to the white socks start, wow what a flashy riding horse. Just look at his sire! And Ohio is the only son of Sunny Boy! Both have the unusual color combination buckskin dun, called dunskin.*
.
Ohio have lots of presence. He has good straight legs and is well put together. He has exeptionally great dispostion, more sweet and gentle stud colt you should be hard pressed to find. His half brother, Texas, is the most gentle horse we had, and also Ohio's sire Sunny Boy is very gentle.
.
His pedigree is Damele breeding, Curly Jim line and a dash of Morgan through Ruby Red King. Ohio has been shown at young stock inspection and did very well, he got the scores of 8 for type, 8 for body, 7 7 for legs and 8 for movements. He got a Ribbon, Quality award and participated in the Best-In-Show competition.
.
With Ohio being a dunskin, he should have equal chances of passing
- both the dun and creme gene (dunskin, dunalino, smoky grullo)
- only the dun gene (bay dun, red dun, grullo)
- only the creme gene (buckskin, palomino, smoky black)
- neither dilute gene (bay, sorrel, black)

In our opinion Texas the most gentle 3 year old colt in the world :-) He is such a total love and follows us around whenever he gets the chance. Loves petting and scratching and kisses. When I go into the paddock with a halter, he is always first, begging me to put the halter on so we can do something fun!
.
Texas is bay with a small star and a white hind coronet. He is well muscled, with a nice body. Quite curly, is getting a big, double split mane and long big tail. He is a blend of Curly Jim (foxtrotting curly), Damele and Kuglar bloodlines. Will probably stay right under the pony mark (14.2hh/148cm).
.
We envision him as the perfect family horse, in the future he may take the whole family on a buggy ride, trail rides for not to big adults, pony rides for the smallest children, and being an exellent showing candidate for the older children, he loves to jump and we think he can become quite a show jumping pony. He also has a fast trot and will suit well for mom or dad to do three event driving with. Texas is smart, a quick learner and will do everything you ask of him in exchange for a banana :-) He is currently training to drive. He can be delivered trained to drive.
.
Texas has high social intelligence and herd skills, he gets along with all horses. No trouble keeping him as a stallion with other colts and geldings and bred mares. He is a gentle breeder and doesn't bother the mares when they are not in heat. Texas has been inspected at an official horse show in the class for 2 year old stud colts. He scored a total of 35 points (average 7 points), and was awarded a "Ribbon". The judges are very strict on colts, so very many do not get a "Ribbon". The Ribbon is a quality sign and tells you that the colt is good enough to be kept intact for another year, and then shown again.

Indiana is going to be a large, stout mare and will suit perfectly for a large rider. She has a good and well propotioned conformation just like her dam and will become an excellent brood mare. Now she has squared up and moves at an even head nodding running walk. She also can trot and pace. I think she will become a good foxtrotter. She has a dence teddy bear coat with waves in, and curly mane, tail and inside ears. Winter coat has come in, a long thich coat full of big curls. She is very calm and friendly. She will become a quiet and balanced horse, possibly perfect for therapy riding? She has sabino markings, that is a blaze that extends down on the lower lip and hind stockings that point up like a lightning. She is a blend of Curly Jim (foxtrotting curly), Damele and Kuglar bloodlines.

An absolutely adorable filly with a warm dark chocolate brown color. No white markings whatsoever. Iowa is super curly and I think she is homozygous for curls (i.e. never will produce a straight foal). She has a beautiful head, and is quite refined built, however is now depeloving more mass. She is a true sweetheart and loves attention, just want you to hold her head and love on her all the time. She foxtrots beautifully and moves at an elegant tails up trot when she gets excited and she runs like the wind! A little lady, that is quick, elegant and agile. This will make a pretty and refined riding horse about 14.3 - 15 hh, that will turn heads! Lots of energy, but very gentle and loving. She is a blend of Curly Jim (foxtrotting curly), Damele and Kuglar bloodlines. .

Dam: *Walker's Queen B

We got all our wishes fulfilled with this foal. He is very curly, can become future breeding stallion in Europe, very gaited (he was up and gaiting just a few hours old), and as icing on the cake, he has a flashy sabino pinto color.
.
This colt has blood lines (see pedigree) that makes him suitable to breed to every Curly mare in Europe (exept for his dam and his half sister that we also own). His Curly Jim genes will probably greatly reduce your risk of producing Curlies with no mane and tail. He will get a long thick mane and tail himself too. He is free of Damele and Native American Curly blood lines, making him an excellent outcross for such mares. This is one of a handful stud colts in the world that are double registered Curly and Missouri Fox Trotter and from dominant Curly to Curly breeding. And the other ones are in USA.
.
Missouri has correct legs with large bone, well proportioned body with impressive neck, sloping shoulders, good top line and a powerful hind end. He will be big, we expect him to mature to about 15.2H (157 cm). He is extremely gaited. All though he sometimes display a wonderful trot with the tail up, he seems to prefer to move around in four beat gaits, or canter.
.
Missouri was imprint trained at birth, is current on shots, worming and trimming (we do the Strasser Natural Trim). He is taught to lead. tie, bathe, load and being ponied. His nature is very gentle, although he is alert and will make a good herd stallion.

*Kansas Dream......... Sold to Golden Gaits Curly Horses, Sweden
.
Sooty chestnut stallion, f. 27th of June 2001.
ICHO 370-D, ABC 2939, AFTHBA 01-8071, SE 19-01-0110
.
Sire: *Kreskin
Dam: *Moonlight Sonata
.
This colt is dark chestnut with a blaze and two socks (one hind and one front), and with sooty marks on his points. Gaited from his first step! This winter he had a wooly foal coat, which has shed out to a summer coat that is short, curly and somewhat wiry, but still soft to touch. Our best guess is that he will become microcurly as his sire. His mane and tail are kinky curly and of medium length.
.
We believe Sonata is homozygous for curls and since the colt's sire has proved to be most likely homozygous, there are VERY good chances this colt is homozygous too. If so, he will never sire a straight foal. Breeders with mares that has produced a straight foal will prefer to use a homozygous stallion. Many of the believed homozygous horses in some of the Curly blood lines have no mane and tail, or very sparsely haired mane and tail. Not so with the Curly Jim blood line. They might have somewhat shorter and more kinky curly mane and tail, but there are no recordings of a bald one, even among the proven homozygous stallions.
.
He is, like our other stud colt, free of Damele and Native American Curly bloodlines, making him an excellent outcross for such mares. He has blood lines (see pedigree) that makes him suitable to breed to every Curly mare in Europe (exept for his dam and a sisterdaughter in Sweden).
.
Kansas is a pretty and refined colt that is the favourite of about all visitors we have. We expect him to mature at about 14.3H (150 cm). He has a pretty head and a well proportioned body. He runs like the wind, follows his dam or us in all terrain and jumps creeks with no hesitation. He also has the guts and energy to go all day. We think he must be the perfect endurance horse. He fox trots beautifully and has an impressive trot.
.
Kansas was imprint trained at birth, is current on shots, worming and trimming (we do the Strasser Natural Trim). He is taught to lead, tie, bathe, load and being ponied. He is very gentle.
